Chronis Manolis

Senior Vice President, Pharmacy Services and Chief Pharmacy Officer

Company/Employment: UPMC Insurance Services Division

Bio: As SVP of Pharmacy Services and Chief Pharmacy Officer for UPMC Insurance Services Division, Mr. Manolis oversees the pharmacy programs for the Insurance Division’s Commercial, Medicare, Medical Assistance, Special Needs Plans, WorkPartners and Children’s Health Insurance Program products. Mr. Manolis is responsible for all aspects of pharmacy benefit administration including drug benefit design, clinical program development, operations, the pharmacy clinical call centers and the overall performance of the Pharmacy Services division. He also has a leadership role in the Health Plan’s Center for Value Based Pharmacy Initiatives responsible for the transformation of pharmacy from volume to value. Mr. Manolis has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmacy and managed care industries, including with retail, mail-order, and specialty pharmacies; managed care; government programs; and account management and sales. He previously held management positions with Medco Health Solutions and Stadtlanders Specialty Pharmacy Services.  Mr. Manolis is as an adjunct instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and a member of the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA)/Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Expert Pharmacy Panel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Sue Wilhelm

Director of Pharmacy

Company/Employment: Dean Health Plan

Bio: Sue Wilhelm received a B.S. in Pharmacy from University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1995 and earned her board certification as a pharmacotherapy specialist in 2009.  She has over 20 years of experience as an ambulatory care pharmacist and manager with Marshfield Clinic Health System.  During this time, she oversaw the design and development of the specialty pharmacy program.  In 2016 she joined Security Health Plan as the Director of Pharmacy Services and was charged with formulary management, utilization management, P&T Committee and oversight of pharmacy benefit manager (PBM). Her practice interests include controlled substance management, population health management, data analytics and quality improvement.  Ms. Wilhelm joined Dean Health Plan in September of 2020 as the Director of Pharmacy. She is a member of Wisconsin Pharmacist’s Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Alliance of Community Health Plans and America’s Health Insurance Plans.  She also serves on the board of the Marathon County Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Partnership.
